Job Title:Specialist Senior Manager - AnalyticsLocation:Hermitage Primary Duties: You will lead the analytics specialist team within Deloitte s Analytics and Reporting Studio, where our mission is to enable all Deloitte practitioners to access and understand their data and transform that data into actionable insights for making better business decisions. As the leader of the analytics specialist team, you will be responsible for both strategic visioning as well as delivery of analytics service offerings. This role requires an individual with strong advanced analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating actionable insights that drive business strategy. General ResponsibilitiesAct as a subject matter expert and work with a variety of Deloitte business units to understand each business unit s situation and then demonstrate how analytics can help drive their business.Build confidence and trust with our clients, speaking to how the Analytic and Reporting Studio s service offerings can meet their needs. Must be comfortable and articulate when presenting complex concepts and results to clients.Continue to develop our analytics service offerings and our analytics platform strategy, ensuring our technology strategy is aligned to business goals.Evangelize the Analytics and Reporting Studio vision and lead efforts to grow our practice through eminence building activities and thought leadership.Contribute to new business for the Analytics and Reporting Studio by generating client proposals and presentations as needed.Manage and coach your analytic specialist team members and assess their performance against established job responsibilities and expectations.Remain current with evolving industry trends and technologies in reporting, analytics and data visualization.Escalate issues, risks, and decisions as necessary and develop mitigating actions.Analytics Platform ResponsibilitiesGuide the strategic direction of our analytics platforms by aligning business strategy to vendor product capability roadmaps.Develop business cases for new analytic platforms, strategic initiatives and partnership development.Seek ways to reduce analytics platform costs and increase efficiencies. Communicate analytic technology costs, benefits and implementation requirements to business and IT leaders.Provide guidance to the organization in the form of reference architecture and guiding principles for analytics platforms and technologies.Establish and manage partnerships with vendors to support and advance the development of our analytic service offerings and platform capabilities.Project Delivery ResponsibilitiesEnsure analytics specialists are meeting deadlines and focused on the right activities.Manage staffing and forecast of analytics specialists working closely with engagement managers and architects to plan and estimate efforts for the delivery of analytic solutions.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Quantitative Discipline (statistics, math, etc.) or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications. An advanced degree is preferred.Minimum of 10 years of in-depth experience in delivering analytic solutions to clients with a proven track record of leveraging analytics to create data-driven insights.Ability to understand and relate to business objectives and provide high-quality solutions to meet those objectives.Strong analytical skills.Strong leadership and management skills, including collaboration, negotiation and decision-making.Strong project management and team management skills.Experience implementing quality guidelines, standards and procedures.Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate with senior executives and the ability to adjust communications to both technical and non-technical audiences.Creative - able to think outside the box, using knowledge gained through prior experience, education, and training to resolve issues and remove project barriers.Driven for results, maintaining constant awareness of milestones.Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow staff.Experience leading and managing a team across multiple locations is preferred.Experience working with external vendors is preferred. Prefer experience with techniques, tools, and methodologies related to advanced data mining and statistical analysis as well as big data platforms such as Microsoft Azure s Data Lake/HD Insight.Prefer experience with data visualization products such as Tableau or Qlikview/QlikSense.Experience with SAP Business Objects or SAP HANA platforms is a plus.Ability to travel minimally is required, up to 10%.
