Job Title: Senior Payroll Coordinator Location/Department: Hermitage, TN/Payroll Position Reports to: Payroll Tax Manager Career Level: 3 Job Overview: Payroll Tax Administrator duties include, but are not limited to, ensuring tax compliance for biweekly payroll by using the SAP R/3 system results to verify, prepare, and maintain accurate tax deposits, returns, and records for multiple tax jurisdictions. Job Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local payroll tax, unemployment, disability insurance regulations and requirements by balancing the biweekly payroll taxes and making all regulatory deposits and filings. Aid in the preparation of all required quarterly and annual returns including the preparation and dispatch of W-2 s, W-2c s, 941 s, 940 s, and State and Local Reconciliations.Make all tax returns and deposits via latest technology possible including Internet, EFT, and manual filings. Maintain a customer service center providing payroll tax support and SAP system expertise to Payroll Resource Team.Research unusual employee situations involving complex payroll tax issues. QualificationsPayroll tax is a technical profession. To be successful in this position, the candidate:Must have a working knowledge of a multitude of payroll and payroll tax laws and procedures. This position requires experience in dealing with federal, state, and numerous local tax jurisdictions. Also candidate must possess a working knowledge of multi-state regulations for reciprocal agreements.Experience with Puerto Rico and/or Canada payroll tax is a plus.Must be able to apply regulations in practical situations.Minimum 3 years experience in multi-state withholding and multi-state unemployment tax filing required.Must possess outstanding analytical skills.Must have experience in Word and Excel, Access experience a plus. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must be a team player and be able to consistently meet rigorous statutory, firm, and department deadlines.CPP a plus
