Work You ll DoProvide strategic and technical consulting services across different industry sectors. Assist with the delivery of large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business solutions and technology solutions for our clients. Develop financial projection models for insurance carriers. Support new team members during onboarding by sharing technical and client specific knowledge. Develop actuarial assumptions for life insurance companies including mortality and lapses. Validate assumptions applied in projections and test key actuarial reserve balances using GAAP and statutory accounting techniques. Implement model risk governance standards across the company through actuarial model testing and documentation. Develop, refine, and update variable annuity pricing assumptions (mortality, lapse, expense, and investment) and product features through cross-functional collaborations and actuarial analysis using MATLAB, Excel, and VBA. Use pricing models to construct projected Statutory and GAAP income statements and analyze impact of product and assumption changes on profitability. Calculate annuity accounting items including VACARVM, C3 Phase III, FAS 133, SOP 03-1, and DAC. Ensure pricing assumptions are reasonable and compliant with Actuarial Standards of Practice (ASOPs). Conduct financial feasibility analysis on new product ideas through MATLAB and VBA coding. Code features and refinements to stochastic pricing models in MATLAB. Automate the actuarial pricing production process to make it more robust and efficient. Perform statistical analysis, optimization pricing, risk modeling, data mining and develop actuarial analytic models using Access, VBA, SQL and Microsoft Excel.
