Work you ll do As a Federal Lead Security Specialist within our team you will:Perform as the Acting Program Security Officer (A-PSO) in conducting formal self-inspections of the security program related to SCIF operations and client requirements per Federal regulationOversee operations and maintenance of the electronic access control systemOversee operations and maintenance of the Intrusion Detection SystemManage Personnel Security Clearance processing per defined processes and proceduresConduct briefing/debriefing of individuals requiring access as requiredProvide foreign travel briefings for personnel planning travel outside of the Continental United States (OCONUS) for both official and personal travelDevelop and deliver Security Education/Training to Cleared PersonnelConduct periodic security checks during the working day and/or at the end of the day The teamTransparency, innovation, collaboration, sustainability: these are the hallmark issues shaping Federal government initiatives today. QualificationsRequired:8 years of experience as a Security Specialist/Officer with sound knowledge of industrial security specifically supporting DOD and the Intelligence Community (IC).Knowledge of the Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) and formerly Director Central Intelligence Directives (DCIDs), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and other related Federal security laws, directives, regulations, and Presidential Mandates5 years of experience working with the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools Preferred:Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, Business or related fieldProfessional security certification (DSS FSO, SPeD level 1, or NCMS ISP)Knowledge of DSS/OPM/eQIP personnel security investigations processesKnowledge of Information Systems Security requirementsExperience with development and accreditation processes of Sensitive Compartmented Information FacilitiesHighly motivated, self-starter with a proactive, customer-focused approach in assisting in many integrated security disciplinesStrong/effective written and verbal communications skillsDiscrete, with ability to handle and protect highly sensitive personnel/security dataExceptional attention to detail How you ll growAt Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
