In the process, they encounter new cyber risks and an increasingly sophisticated cyber threat terrain. The work we do to help them address cyber risk is increasingly important to their success and to the strength of the economy and public security. As a Cyber Risk Consultant, you ll work with our diverse teams of leading professionals to help design and implement solutions to some of today s toughest cybersecurity challenges. You ll have an opportunity to build skills across a variety of cyber risk domains and gain exposure to the challenges of the Federal sector. The ExternshipThe two-day Externship will engage participants in several workshops, highlight the Federal practice, provide networking opportunities, and expose participants to Deloitte s culture and recruiting process. At the end of the Externship, all participants will be able to interview for full time opportunities for the following year. The event will be held in Deloitte s Rosslyn office in August. Work You ll DoAsa Consultant in Cyber Risk, you will partner with our clients to design and implement solutions that integrate security into their processes, and improve their ability to detect and respond to cyber attacks, so they can achieve agency growth and manage reputational risks. You ll build on your foundations in Information Technology and Business to design and implement business-aligned cyber risk management programs, processes, and systems that help clients focus their investments on key information technology risks. Specific areas of work could include:Deploying various technologies to establish data privacy and security controlsHelping to improve application securityManaging system and software vulnerabilitiesEstablishing methods for securing smart devicesDeveloping advanced cyber monitoring and security analytics solutionsEstablishing cyber crisis management capabilitiesProviding cyber forensics and incident response support The TeamAt Deloitte we view cyber risk as primarily a business challenge.
