Work you ll do

As a Senior Consultant within our Cyber Risk team, you will:

  • Work with Federal clients to mitigate cyber risk and threats

  • Perform software development activities with specific cyber security focus within an agile environment.

  • Serve as a data scientist on cyber analytic execution teams

  • Review and guide analyst activity and outputs as part of an analytic team

  • Understand and define our analytic workflows

  • Identify commonalities of approach between teams and new workflows

  • Identify and define statistics that help automate analytic decisions in the workflows

  • Identify new data sets and articulating their value to the team, the client, and the workflows

  • Define ways to apply data science and machine-learning approaches to our analytic workflows and products

  • Review analytic results from each engagement and ensuring they following the workflows and all hypotheses are considered and evidence documented

  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work

  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues

  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports

  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products

  • Assist in proposal development, as requested

  • Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with client

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, or related field

  • 2 years of relevant consulting or industry experience

  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives

  • 3-7 years experience in programming with Web Based Technologies (HTML, JavaScript, jquery, css, bootstrap)

  • Demonstrated experience in User Interface Design for Web-Based Software Platforms

  • Demonstrated experience working with Linux-based Operating Systems

  • Demonstrated experience working in virtualized environment

  • 1-3 years experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud hosting services

  • Demonstrated experience in design of business intelligence, visualization/reporting tools, analytic tools, or search applications

  • Familiarization with Resource Description Framework

  • Accustomed to working in Agile Development Team environments

  • Experience implementing entity extraction algorithms

  • Demonstrated experience with Python, Java, or C

  • Security Clearance: Must be clearable candidate up to at least a SECRET level

Preferred:

  • Previous Federal Consulting experience

  • Understanding of fundamental cloud computing concepts

  • A solid understanding of cyber security concepts, secure coding practice, vulnerability identification, and cyber threat intelligence is necessary. The candidate must be flexible and able to prioritize development tasking accordingly

  • A degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics. Master s preferred

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Statistical stability, Statistical independence, Statistical marginal and joint distributions, Gaussian and negative power law distributions and Parametric and non-parametric

  • Experience with at least one of the following: Packet processing, Applied graph theory, Computer or network security, Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning, Enterprise software development or Applied analysis performed on real world data
